Who this notice covers

This notice covers people who contact artists.digital, join our waitlist or become customers. It also explains our role in supporting websites run by our artist customers. The artist’s own privacy notice should explain how that artist uses information collected through their website.

artists.digital is a trading name of Celios Limited, company number 03292098. Our registered office is 3rd Floor, 86–90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE. Celios Limited is responsible for the personal information we use to operate artists.digital and administer our customer relationships.

For privacy enquiries or requests about your information, please use our contact page or write to our registered office.

Information we use

Depending on how you use the service, we may handle your name, contact details, account information, correspondence, website content, subscription and billing records, and technical records needed to operate and protect the service. Information supplied through customer websites may include visitor enquiries, order details and delivery information.

We only ask for information relevant to the service or request. Please do not send sensitive personal information unless we have agreed a suitable way to handle it.

Why we use information

We use information to respond to enquiries, provide and administer the service, manage payments, offer support and protect accounts and websites. Depending on the activity, our basis is taking steps you request before a contract, performing that contract, meeting legal obligations, or our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service. We balance those interests against people’s rights.

Where we rely on consent, such as optional analytics or requested marketing updates, you can withdraw it. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.

We do not sell customer information

We do not sell or resell your personal information, customer lists or information collected through customer websites. We share information only where needed to provide the service, where you ask us to, or where the law requires it.

Service providers may include hosting, email, payment, support and analytics providers. They should receive only the information required for their role, under appropriate contractual arrangements.

Information on artist websites

An artist normally decides why and how visitor enquiries and shop orders are used on their own website. For that activity, the artist is the data controller. Where we host or support that information on the artist’s instructions, we act as a processor. Our use of information for our own customer administration is separate.

If you have a question about an enquiry or purchase made through an artist’s website, contact that artist first. We can assist them with requests where appropriate.

Analytics on customer websites

We use Umami on customer websites to help artists understand how visitors find and use their sites. These analytics are collected without using cookies. We do not use Google Analytics on customer websites.

The artist’s own privacy notice should explain the analytics used on their website alongside any other services they choose to use.

Google Analytics on this website

We use Google Analytics on the artists.digital marketing website to understand how people find this site, which pages they use and to connect to Google Ads. It can process information such as page visits, referral sources, approximate location, device and browser details, and online identifiers. Google receives information through this service.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Essential cookies may be used for functions such as signing in, security, remembering privacy choices and keeping items in a shop basket.

The Google Analytics setup on the artists.digital marketing website uses optional analytics cookies to measure how this site is used. Umami analytics on customer websites do not use cookies.

You can also manage cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of a website, such as account access or the shop basket, from working. Each customer website should explain any cookies used by its other features or services.

Providers and international transfers

Some providers, including Google, may process information outside the UK. Where a restricted transfer takes place, appropriate safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism must be in place.

Keeping and protecting information

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including applicable accounting, legal and dispute-resolution requirements. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it and limit access to people who need it for their work.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase your information, restrict its use, object to processing, or receive a portable copy. You can withdraw consent where we rely on it and opt out of marketing at any time. Some rights have exceptions, including where records must be kept by law.

Contact us to make a request or raise a concern. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator.

Keeping this notice up to date

We will update this notice when the service or our handling of information changes. The published version should show its revision date and explain significant changes where appropriate.
